Dr. Lewis is a New York native but considers herself a North Carolinian. She is a foodie who enjoys spending time with her family and traveling to new places, whether in the US or abroad.

Jetta has spent most of her career as a post-secondary educator, with extensive experience across various educational settings, particularly in higher education. Her research interests include promoting mental health and effective learning strategies that foster student success. Jetta is passionate about working with students to empower and promote self-advocacy. She also encourages students to be active in their learning, which will ultimately aid in their long-term success.
